The western most segment begins at Intrenchment Creek Park, goes under Bouldercrest Road and touches several neighborhoods before emerging at Gresham Park and Obama High School. From there it travels through Sugar Creek Golf Course and follows the river to Georgia State College on Panthersville Road. This segment was recently extended eastward to Waldrop Road.

The eastern segment begins at MLK High School and crosses Snapfinger Road before intersecting the Arabia Mountain PATH.

Both segments are mostly flat and not as well traveled as some PATH trails.
