Do you love the outdoors? Are you good at organizing things? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you like plants and flowers? Are you already an active user of the PATH greenway trails? If so, PATH needs you! We are looking for people who want to adopt a section of trail.
The PATH Adopt-a-Trail program is an informal agreement whereby citizens, organizations and local businesses can support PATH by augmenting the maintenance programs with special care.
Adoptive “parents” are asked to:
- Visit the trail at least once a week during the season to remove litter and report maintenance or other problems.
- Trim around signs, fence posts, etc., after mowings.
- Clear trail of large debris such as limbs, rocks, etc.
- Make a one year committment to your section of trail.
Involve Your Family
Volunteering for PATH can be a fun activity for the whole family. Seniors and students are welcome. Ask your spouse or a friend to help out, too!
