Working with citizens and county officials, PATH has developed a master plan for 124 miles of trails through DeKalb County. The most recent addition for the DeKalb Trail System is the Arabia Mountain Greenway Trail which connects historic downtown Lithonia to Stonecrest Mall, the Arabia Mountain Nature Center, and over 1000 acres of forest and rock outcroppings.
The Stone Mountain Trail begins at Piedmont Ave in downtown Atlanta and ends at Stone Mountain affording access to Stone Mountain Park. The 19 mile-long trail does require on-street travel for almost 4 miles, in Candler Park and through Clarkston. The trail ends at the loop road around Stone Mountain. View Trail Details
The three-mile path around Chastain Park is one of PATH's most popular trails. Surveys indicate an average of up to 250 joggers, dog-walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers use the trail each hour. View Trail Details
This trail is built partially on an abandoned railroad and partially as a boardwalk high above a floodplain in Northwest Atlanta between Marietta Rd and Bolton Rd. The trail connects several neighborhoods to Bolton Academy and shops and restaurants along Marietta Blvd. View Trail Details
