Over 300 people competed in Sunday’s TriPATHlon held at Chastain Park. TriPATHlon is PATH’s first annual in-town triathlon event. Volunteers and participants started arriving at five in the morning. As the sun came up, participants organized in line around the Chastain Park Pool to begin the first portion of the triathlon. From the swim, they transitioned into the bike race around the park through neighborhood streets, and finally ended in a run on the Chastain Park path. We could not have asked for better weather, and everyone had a great time!

Sunday was also Mother’s Day and it was wonderful to see families volunteer and participate in the race together. The event was true to the spirit of PATH’s mission of bringing people together and connecting neighborhoods.
Thank you so much to all of our volunteers, without whom the race would not have been possible. Thank you to all of our sponsors for all of your support, and a special thank you to our naming sponsor Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead, and our presenting sponsor Coca-Cola.
We hope to see everyone out there again next year, but in the meantime make sure you check out our pics on Facebook!
