Trail With a Twist

Is this not the coolest trail ever? PATH crews continue to make progress snaking a boardwalk trail between the trees and over the creeks between North Druid Hills Road and the Mason Mill Tennis Center. Much of the trail is 15-20 feet above the ground as it twists and turns to avoid a majority of the trees that make this place special. Handrail installation began in March along with concrete trail construction and placement of amenities.

Construction is being funded by a federal government allocation and DeKalb County. Your donations to PATH helped fund design and pay for construction management of the project.

In other South Peachtree Creek news, the PATH design team has initiated design between Mason Mill Park and Clairmont Road near the VA Hospital. There are easements to be obtained and funding to be identified, but it seems promising we will have a trail from Mason Mill Park to the Emory campus during 2018.

PATH crews plan to complete the trail to North Druid Hills in June.
