The PATH planning and design team is developing a trail master plan for trails in the City of Tucker. A steering committee comprised of city officials and representatives from the community have guided the plan to the final draft stage. A public meeting to view and comment on the plan drew over 150 people in late October.
The plan suggests a 31.6 mile system connecting the Stone Mountain Trail, the Peachtree Creek Greenway, and the Lilburn Trail to Main Street in Tucker. The plan utilizes downtown alleyways between commercial buildings to bring trails to Main Street. The Steering Committee will review PATH recommendations and suggest a model mile for the city to develop in 2019.
