Chastain Park PATH
The Chastain Park PATH is one of the most popular jogging and walking trails in Atlanta. Located in a beautiful residential neighborhood just inside the perimeter, the trails border the rolling terrain of North Fulton Golf Course, winding through a lovely landscaped park and over a bridge spanning Nancy Creek. Views of the creek's rocky banks and the tree lined pond along the northwestern section of the park provide welcome shady stretches as you stroll along the trails.
Socialize while strolling...
One of PATH’s more social trails, the double-loop trail around North Fulton Golf Course and Chastain Park, is frequented by groups walking dogs, running laps, and pushing baby strollers. The trail is marked as two 5K courses and a separate 3K course. There are lights along the loop around North Fulton Golf Course to facilitate predawn and evening use. This trail is available for all user groups but primarily functions as a pedestrian venue.

I am thrilled to bring this project to fruition by working with our partners and with significant funding from Renew Atlanta Bond proceeds,” District 8 Councilwoman Yolanda Adrean, who represents part of Buckhead, including the park, said in a news release. “This project will complete the path, in its entirety, around Chastain Park, accommodating the thousands of walkers, runners, strollers and families that enjoy this beautiful City park and all its amenities.”

“The Chastain Park Conservancy is thrilled to invest in the implementation of the West Wieuca PATH Sidewalk Widening project,” said Jennifer Richter, President of the Chastain Park Conservancy.
“Chastain Park hosts more than 2 million park users every year – from walkers and runners to kids enjoying the playground and ball fields to tennis players and swimmers-and West Wieuca Road is the Park’s ‘Main Street’,” said Richter.
“Our partnership with the PATH Foundation and the City of Atlanta has proven to be successful for all ongoing park capital improvements including the PATH and beautification along both Lake Forest Road and Powers Ferry Road. The West Wieuca project will be no different, and I can’t wait to see the results,” explained Richter.
