Her Story:
Mona Ariza, is a native of Central Florida who has lived in Atlanta since the late 90’s. She is the founder of Hand In Pocket, a women’s clothing and accessory boutique, located in the Vinings. Her passion for running can be traced back to her early childhood. As an entrepreneur, and mom, her daily life can be pretty stressful. She says that running is something that she has always turned to for comfort and stress relief and runs 2-3x per week on the Silver Comet Trail.
Details:
I start my run at the Mavell Road/ Nickajack Elementary School trailhead and run 5-10k splitting the distance into equal parts. The trail is nicely marked with mile markers and along with my running app it’s easy to maintain my pace and achieve my distance goals. The trail has a fair amount of shade, and is a great place for flat runs.
